Thank goodness the man you're about to meet swapped the real estate trade for the enigmatic world of Indonesian cuisine. Restaurant owner, Duncan Fransz has never regretted his decision.
This flying Dutchman was born in Batavia and spent a considerable amount of time in the Netherlands, where he learned all about Indonesian cooking from his Indonesian grandmother and Dutch father.
His restaurant, Jakarta, situated near the town of Stellenbosch, offers you a magical dining experience, complete with exciting spices and mouth-tingling chillies.
Dress Code: None whatsoever. How else, considering that Duncan prefers to wear shorts 365 days of the year!

Jakarta is now also a Vegan friendly restaurant, so make sure you come and try our new dishes!
Please note: Jakarta Restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Monday - Saturday till late (if no bookings are received by 19:00 the restaurant will be closed).
